BLUEPRINT formed in the spring of 2002 with Mark Somerlott, Carlos Curet, Cal Morrow and Keith Coughenour coming together to play the blues. In the spring of 2010 BLUEPRINT added Pete Macias on keyboards to round out the band.
Our music ranges from older more traditional blues to newer contemporary blues.
Up tempo shuffles or slow blues or rock blues keep things interesting for us and covers a wide range of styles and artists in the blues genre.
We are also always working on adding original songs to our list.
Our line up is the basic vocals, drums, bass and guitar attack with the added flavor of Mark's blues harp and now the texture of Pete's keyboards. One unique aspect of our show is Cal and Keith switching off between bass and guitar on certain songs giving the show more variety.

Mark - Lead vocals, harmonica and percussion.
Mark was born in Lawton Oklahoma and has lived in Texas also.
Mark has played in other notable bands through the years in the Lawton area.
The early 90's saw Mark playing the popular rock band "Cornerstone."
In those days Mark played drums. Other bands he was a member of include "Jack Squat" and "John Doe." Mark played drums in both those projects along with providing backing vocals.
BLUEPRINT saw Mark stepping forward and becoming the "front man." Something he has always wanted to do. BLUEPRINT gives him that opportunity and the vehicle to showcase his formidable harmonica talents.
Carlos- drums, percussion and duck call.
Carlos hails from New Jersey originally but has lived in Lawton for some time now. Like Mark, Carlos has played in many projects and is still a very sought after drummer and can fill in and fit in with other bands at a moments notice.
Some of Carlos' other projects include "Soul Survivors", "Shoepile" , "Hi-Way 62" and "Barking Spider. Carlos is the consumate "timekeeper" and is the backbone that keeps our music grooving. Listen for one of his great drum solos!
Carlos also designs and produces BLUEPRINT'S band flyers and business cards.
Cal - guitar, bass, lead and backing vocals.
Cal was born in San Francisco, CA but has lived in Lawton for many years.
Cal has a long musical history and has also played in many band projects and jammed with many of our local musicians over the years.
Cal was a member of "Fragile" during the early 1980's and later went on to play in the band "EYEZ". After that Cal played in "Jack Squat" and "John Doe" with both Mark and Keith. Cal's guitar playing has always been considered accomplished and now his bass playing is getting noticed too. Cal's attractive and witty siblings are too numorous to mention!
Keith - guitar, bass and backing vocals.
Keith was born in San Antonio, TX and like the other members has lived in Lawton for many years. Keith played with Cal in "Fragile" and with Mark and Cal in the bands "Jack Squat" and "John Doe." Like Cal, Keith switches off between guitar and bass. Keith's playing also gets noticed. Often "fans" are heard to say..."tell that fat guy to turn down!"
Pete - keyboards and backing vocals
Peter Macias was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. He has been playing keyboard since the age of 14. Over the years he has played with bands from different genres including country, rock, pop, alternative, rap, jazz and blues. Pete plays for various churches in Lawton and in several towns throughout Oklahoma. He has just recently joined up with BLUEPRINT.
There are also two other "sometime members" that may out of the BLUE show up and sit in with the band. Phillip Johnsen comes up and blows his horn with the band and also can sometimes be coaxed into singing a song or two.
You are also likely to see Ed Stonerock come up and sing his version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door."
